CERT training is a commitment of 20 hours of training (must attend all 20hrs). There is no cost for the training of County CERT courses. Participants must be over the age of 18 year old. Minors 14 years old and over may participate, but require a parent or guardian to attend the course Only those who successfully complete the practical exercise with hands-on instruction in fire suppression, search and rescue, cribbing and medical, will receive a certificate of completion and a free CERT kit. Class size is limited to the first 40 people who register.
To enroll in a course, click on the "REGISTER" hyperlink next to the course in which you would like to enroll. A registration window will open for your CERT course. The primary method of communication to participants is via email. Must be 18 years or older to register. Due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns all attendees must wear a facemask while attending CERT Training.
If you need to cancel your registration, please notify our office at least 48 hours prior to the class start date.

Hybrid CERT is provided by using two methods: online and in-person. Online you will learn about all the modules and in- person you will gain all the hands-on skills.
To enroll, you must click on the "REGISTER" hyperlink. The hyperlink will redirect you to the California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI) Learning Management System website where you will register and create an account or login and enroll in the CERT Hybrid curriculum. After each module you will be tested on the material discussed, and awarded a merit. Once you collect all eight merits you will submit to EMDTraining@rivco.org. Once merits have been submitted you will be enrolled in the next hands-on training.
